My mission is to empower People to embrace a balanced and holistic approach to life, nurturing their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

I want to be vulnerable and share my story with you because I want you to know you’re not alone. Too many people don’t understand the true meaning of “health”. Yes, health looks different for everyone because we are all bio-individual, but what our society portrays as “healthy” often wreaks havoc on our bodies. Our world today is so focused on our physical appearance and markets these crazy fads and diets, which makes it difficult to understand how to live a healthy lifestyle.

I struggled with anxiety and depression for a long time, and as you probably guessed, I was prescribed anti-anxiety medication at a young age in high school. No doctor tried to understand what was causing it, but rather gave me something to cover up the symptoms. The medications didn't make me feel any better and I decided to wean myself off of them. I got a lot of pushback from a lot of people and even family, but I didn't want to rely on a pill to make me “happy” for the rest of my life. I wanted to figure out WHY I was feeling the way I was and treat it naturally. Today I am still medication free and have a better understanding of my triggers and know how to manage my anxiety/depression holistically!

Another big reason for pursuing a career in health and wellness is my mom. She passed away in 2021, and I truly feel if I knew then what I know now, she might still be here today. She was diagnosed with an auto-immune disease, and was placed on so many medications which also gave her other symptoms on top of what she was already dealing with. No doctor ever asked her about her lifestyle habits, nutrition, exercise, stress levels or recommended natural supplements. Instead she lived in agony and fear for a long time because she was told there were no other solutions. I want people to know there IS another solution. Getting to the root cause of the problem and taking a holistic approach is a possibility. I think doctors are necessary in certain circumstances, but I also believe that it is incredibly important to understand what our bodies are trying to tell us rather than covering up the symptoms. Disease is “dis-ease” in the body, and the body is missing something it needs to be at its best health.

Shortly after my mom passed away I began having digestion issues and severe panic attacks. My stomach would bloat everytime I ate or drank no matter what it was. I lost 15 pounds because I could not physically eat even though I was hungry. I again went to the doctor and they wanted to put me on medications for depression and acid reflux. I politely declined the medications and asked if there were any alternatives, and they told me no. I left very discouraged and started doing some research. I found a naturopath doctor in my area and decided to go there. I at least felt heard at this office, but unfortunately all tests we ran came back in normal ranges. I did however learn about some holistic remedies which lead me to do some more research. This is how I came across IIN’s Health Coaching Program. I initially took the program to help myself (which it did), but as I got deeper into the course decided I needed to tell people what I had experienced and was learning! I wish I would’ve known this information sooner, however, if I didn’t go through what I did, I may not be able to help people who are struggling just like I was.
